Project Aims

The LGfL Weather Station curriulcum resource is developed in collaboration with Professor Ralf T Toumi from the Physics Department at Imperial College and aims to bring the study of the weather in London Schools from the historic to the future.

The LGfL weather station project brings together the use of several of the leading content resources from across the LGfL portfolio of outstanding online resources – these are highlighted on the left hand 'links' menu To find out how LGfL monitors and tracks the weather, use the video clips to learn more.

These videos will explain how each element of the weather is recorded and will support the understanding and effective use of the weather station data.

The use of the Weather Station resources covers a range of subjects and key stages. The links below feature how three curriculum areas complete with full support for developing SEAL, PLTS, Behaviour for Learning and there are sample lessons, to illustrate how the resource can be used.
